Traffic Signal Upgrade
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON THE A701 AT ST. ANN’S BRIDGE COMMENCES MONDAY 22ND FEBRUARY
Essential maintenance to upgrade traffic signals on the A701 at St. Ann’s Bridge is taking place from Monday 22nd February 2021 for seven weeks.
This scheme, with a value of £290,000, will benefit around 4883 vehicles using this route each day, by improving safety and the resilience of the traffic signals at this location
The work will be carried out using a combination of daytime single lane closures under temporary traffic signal control and night-time full road closures on the A701 at St. Ann’s Bridge. Daytime works will take place during the hours of 9:30am and 4pm on Monday 22nd February until Thursday 11th March 2021.
Full road closures will be required for night-time works carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night. Night works commence Friday 12th March and will finish on Friday 26th March 2021. Daytime works will then resume from Monday 29th March until the scheme’s completion on Monday 12th April 2021. The road will be open as normal outwith the advertised times and dates.
During the night-time closures all traffic will be diverted via the B7076 and A709, where signed diversion routes will be in operation.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
