ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON A76 HOWFORD BRIDGE COMMENCES MONDAY 13th SEPTEMBER
UPDATE (08/11/21): The programme of maintenance on the A76 at Howford Bridge has been extended with a new end date of Friday 24th December 2021 for completion. Adverse weather in recent weeks has impacted the delivery of the scheme, all of our maintenance schemes are dependent on favourable weather conditions.
UPDATE (09/09/21): The commencement date and construction programme for planned maintenance on the A76 at Howford Bridge have been updated. This scheme will now take place from Monday 20th September until Monday 13th December 2021. All other details remain as published below.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be undertaking essential maintenance on the A76 Howford Bridge from Monday 13th September to Monday 15th November 2021.
The works to upgrade the barrier restraint system and the pedestrian parapet will be undertaken using single lane closures and temporary traffic lights on a 24/7 basis with delays predicted at less than 5 minutes.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
