A76 | Howford Bridge
Scheme Summary
STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATIONS ON THE A76 AT HOWFORD BRIDGE COMMENCE WEDNESDAY 23RD JUNE
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking structural investigations on the A76 at Howford Bridge from Wednesday 23rd June until Friday 25th June 2021, between the hours of 6pm and 6am, each night.
This scheme will benefit around 12,000 vehicles using this route each day as results from the investigation will influence a programme of upcoming refurbishment at this location.
The work will be carried out using alternate lane closures with temporary traffic lights in place. We thank road users for their patience while these essential investigations are underway.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
