Drainage Trial Pits
DRAINAGE TRIAL PITS ON THE A77 COMMENCE MONDAY 28TH JUNE
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking drainage trial pits on the A77 at various locations from Monday 28th June until Friday 30th July 2021, between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, each day.
The work will be carried out using single lane closures along the A77 that will be operated using STOP/GO signage. We thank road users for their patience while these essential investigations are underway.
The A77 trial sites will include Finnearts Bay, Glen App, Ballantrae to Bennane Hill, Bennane Hill, Marchburn, Kennedys Pass to Ardwell, North of Straid Pass, Spittalhill to Craigie, Spittalhill southbound on-slip road, London Road Bridge to Grassyards including off and on-slip roads, Grassyards to London Road Bridge including off and on-slip roads, Meiklewood to Grassyards southbound, Smyrton drainage, and Dalquat.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
