This scheme, with a value of £207,543, will benefit around 25,498 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

The work will be carried out using the following closures and diversions:

Traffic will take the third exit at the second roundabout and follow the B769 Stewarton Rd south. At Westacres Roundabout, traffic will take the first exit and follow the Barrhead Rd to A77 Junction. At A77 junction, traffic will turn right and follow the Ayr Rd towards Junction 5, where traffic will rejoin the M77 Southbound.
  • On Friday 21st January there will be a delayed start with traffic management in operation from 9pm.

  • Tuesday 18th January 2022 - Thursday 20th January (inclusive) 2022 – From 8pm until 6am, each night, there will be full closures of the M77 southbound Junction 3 Onslip in order to carry out additional vegetation works. Traffic on the A727/A726 intending to get onto the M77 SB at Junction 3 onslip will follow the A727 Nitshill Rd, Spiersbridge and Rouken Glen Rd heading east. At the roundabout, traffic will take the third exit and follow the A77 Ayr Rd towards Junction 5, where traffic will rejoin the M77 Southbound.

  • Tuesday 18th January 2022 - From 6am until 4pm, there will be daytime lane closures of the M77 main carriageway at Junction 4 to allow for material cooling.

It is anticipated all works will be completed by 6am Sunday 23rd January 2022.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout.

Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
