LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A78 AT INVERKIP COMMENCES 25th JANUARY
Work to improve the lighting on the A78 at Inverkip will take place between Monday 25th January until Friday 29th January 2021. Work will take place from Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 4pm each day.
This scheme, with a value of total value £80,000, will further improve safety and reliability on the trunk road network, by providing brighter and improved uniformity of lighting on this route. In addition, the new LED and Central Management System (CMS) technology will provide a 65% improvement in energy saving. The new lighting columns and sign poles are constructed from aluminium and have a design life of 50 years, which will assist in reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
Work will be undertaken using progressive single lane closures of the A78 Inverkip Road, with a temporary traffic light system in operation.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
