A78 Montfode Roundabout to Chapelhall Roundabout, Ardrossan
11 January 2021
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON THE A78 THREE TOWNS BYPASS BETWEEN MONTFODE ROUNDABOUT AND CHAPELHALL COMMENCES 11th FEBRUARY
Essential maintenance on the A78 from Montfode Roundabout to Chapelhall Roundabout, Ardrossan will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am, each night, between Monday 11th January and Friday 15th January 2021. Additional overnight snagging works between Pennyburn Roundabout and Sharphill Roundabout will take place between 8pm and 6am, each night, from Monday 18th and Friday 22nd January 2021.
This scheme, with a value of £52,000, will benefit around 4,955 vehicles using this route each day by improving the performance of the filter drain, preventing flooding and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
This work requires a full closure of the A78 carriageway with a signed diversion in operation.
Northbound traffic will exit at Pennyburn Roundabout to the A738 Kilwinning Roundabout to the junction with A738 Glencairn Street, and continue on the A738 via High Road, Parkhouse Road and Eglinton Road to Montfode Roundabout to re-join the northbound A78.
Southbound traffic will follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
