A78 Warrix Interchange (southbound)
14 January 2021
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON A78 WARRIX COMMENCES 14th JANUARY
Essential maintenance on the A78 southbound carriageway at Warrix will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am, each night, from Thursday 14th January until Monday 18th January 2021. The main A78 carriageway will re-open as normal out with these times.
This scheme, with a value of £92,000, will benefit around 17,000 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
The work also requires a continual full closure of the southbound A78 on-slip at this location both daytime and overnight for the duration with a signed diversion in operation. Access will be maintained for emergency services throughout the works. The northbound carriageway will remain open as normal.
Southbound traffic will be directed to exit the A78 at Warrix Interchange and follow the eastbound A71 to Greenwood Interchange (junction of A71 and B7080). From here, vehicles will travel south along the B7080 Long Drive to Oldhall Roundabout and then turn east along Moss drive to re-join the southbound A78 at New House Interchange.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
