A78 HIGH STREET BRIDGE LASER SURVEY COMMENCES FRIDAY 11TH JUNE
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking a laser survey on the A78 at High Street Bridge from Friday 11th June until Sunday 13th June 2021. The survey will take place between the hours of 10pm and 5am each night.
This scheme will use a 3D model to investigate the interaction between the roof of Oak Mall shopping centre and the A78 High Street Bridge to influence future maintenance schemes at this location.
The work will be carried out using a full road closure between Buccleugh Street and Bullring Roundabout. A78 southbound traffic will be diverted from Bullring Roundabout to Dalrymple Street, Grey Place, West Stewart Street, and finally onto Inverkip Street. A78 northbound traffic will be diverted from Inverkip Street onto Hastie Street, Union Street, Patrick Street, Grey Place, Dalrymple Street and will end at Bullring Roundabout.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
