A8 Kelburn Terrace and Kelburn Business Park (eastbound)
IMPROVEMENT WORK ON A8 KELBURN COMMENCES 1st AUGUST
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking overnight improvement works on the eastbound A8 between Kelburn Terrace and Kelburn Business Park. This scheme will take place from Monday 1st August to Saturday 6th August 2022, between 8pm and 6am, each night.
This scheme, with a value of £178,918 will benefit around 5,355 vehicles using this route each day by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
This work requires overnight closures of the eastbound A8 at this location, between Newark Roundabout and Woodhall Roundabout, with a signed diversion in operation.
Traffic will be diverted at the A8 Newark Roundabout and follow signage to Kilmacolm and A8 Woodhall, where traffic will re-join the eastbound A8.
Single lane closures will also be in place during daytime hours.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
