ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON A82 SOUTHBOUND DEPARTURE FROM STONEYMOLLAN ROUNDABOUT & NORTHBOUND LAYBY TO STONEYMOLLAN ROUNDABOUT COMMENCES WEDNESDAY 15th SEPTEMBER
UPDATE (17/09/21): To complete this scheme, an additional overnight closure will be required between the hours of 8pm and 6am on Thursday 23rd September 2021. The A82 southbound carriageway will be closed between Stoneymollan Roundabout and the A82 southbound on slip from Renton. The following signed diversion will be in place: A811 Lomond Road then turn right onto A813 then continue on A813 to Lomondgate roundabout.
UPDATE (15/09/21): Planned maintenance on the A82 between Stoneymollan Roundabout and the northbound lay-by will now commence on Friday 17th September and will complete at 6am on Friday 24th September 2021. All other details remain as published below.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential maintenance on the A82 southbound and northbound from Wednesday 15th September until Friday 24th September 2021.
These two schemes, with a combined value of £900,000, will benefit around 8,000 vehicles using this route each day by increasing road quality, improving the reliability of journey times and reducing the need for future maintenance.
A82 Southbound Departure from Stoneymollan Roundabout will take place overnight on Wednesday 15th and Thursday the 16th September between 8pm and 6am. During this work the A82 southbound carriageway will be closed between Stoneymollan Roundabout and the A82 southbound on slip from Renton. The following signed diversion will be in place: A811 Lomond Road then turn right onto A813 then continue on A813 to Lomondgate roundabout.
A82 Northbound Layby to Stoneymollan Roundabout will take place continuously from 8pm on Friday 17th September until 6am on Friday 24th September. The work will be completed under a 24hr continuous contraflow set-up, which will utilise the A82 southbound carriageway. This system will remain in place for the entirety of the works.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
