ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON A898 ERSKINE COMMENCES FRIDAY 30th OCTOBER - POSTPONED
Scheme POSTPONED during to weather conditions
Essential waterproofing work on the A898 Erskine Bridge northbound off-slip will take place under a 24/7 closure from 8pm on Friday 30th October until 6am on Monday 2nd November 2020.
The work will benefit road users travelling this route each day, by continuing to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the trunk road and reducing the need for future maintenance.
This work requires a full closure of the A898 off-slip to the northbound A82, with a signed diversion in operation.
Traffic will be diverted onto the A898 off-slip to the southbound A82 and travel to the A82 Mountblow off-slip road. Vehicles will cross the Mountblow overbridge to re-join the northbound A82.
HGV traffic will join the southbound A82 and travel to the Kilbowie Roundabout where they will take the 5th exit to re-join the northbound A82.
This scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, West Dunbartonshire Council and Renfrewshire Council.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
