Scheme Summary
SNAGGING WORKS ON THE M74 AT JUNCTION 6 NORTHBOUND COMMENCES MONDAY 29TH MAY
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking snagging works on the bridge joints of the M74 northbound at Junction 6 from Monday 29th May until Wednesday 31st May 2023. Work will take place overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
This scheme will conclude the installation of expansion joints on the bridge footways as part of the wider M74 Junction 6 bridge refurbishments that took place in 2022.
The work will be carried out under a total road closure of the M74 northbound off-slip road at Junction 6. Traffic intending to utilise this off-slip road will be diverted via Junction 5 at Raith Interchange. Diversion routes will be signed.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
