M74 Draffan Road

ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON THE M74 AT DRAFFAN ROAD COMMENCES 11th JANUARY
Essential joint replacement work on the M74 at Draffan Road will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am, each night, from Monday 11th January to Friday 15th January, and Monday 18th January 2021.
The scheme, with a value of £15,000, will benefit road users by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
This work will be undertaken using six full overnight closures of the M74 between Junction 8 and Junction 10, with a signed diversion in operation.
Southbound traffic will be diverted at Junction 8 Swinhill to follow the A71 west to the B7078 and continue onto the Junction 10 Wellburn. From here, traffic can re-join the southbound westbound M74.
Northbound traffic will follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
