Expansion Joint Replacement
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON M74 PORT EGLINTON VIADUCT CONTINUES TUESDAY 6th APRIL
Essential bridge maintenance to replace expansion joints on the north west and south east of the Port Eglinton Viaduct will take place between 8pm and 6am, each night including weekends from Tuesday 6th April – Tuesday 13th April 2021.
This scheme will benefit around 99,868 vehicles using this route each day by improving the condition of the structure and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
Tuesday 6th April – Thursday 8th April 2021
Lane closures on the M74 southbound at M74 J1. No diversion required; traffic can still travel south on unrestricted lanes.
Saturday 10th April 2021
Closure of M74 northbound carriageway at J1. Traffic diverted off at J1, under the M74 and back on at Dalintober on slip.
Sunday 11th April – Tuesday 13th April 2021
Closure of the M74 J1 northbound off slip. Traffic to continue on the M8 to J22. Circumnavigate J22 and return on M8 Eastbound and exit at J21 to Paisley Road West.
Works are programmed for completion on Tuesday 13th April.
