M8 Stepps Road Overbridge
6 December 2020
SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON M8 J11 EASTBOUND ON-SLIP (AT THE STEPPS ROAD OVERBRIDGE) COMMENCES 6th DECEMBER
Safety improvement work on the M8 Junction 11 eastbound on-slip (at the Stepps Road Overbridge) will take place between 9.30pm and 6.30am, each night, between the Sunday 6th December and Friday 18th December 2020.
This work will benefit around 85,000 road users travelling this route each day, by improving roadside hazard protection, and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
This work requires full overnight closures of the M8 Junction 11 Eastbound on-slip road, with a signed diversion in place. Emergency services will be provided with access through the works.
Traffic will be diverted to the Edinburgh Road to head east and then diverted on to Bartibeith Road through to Junction 10 to re-join the eastbound M8.
During the day, the slip road will be open to traffic with temporary road barriers in place to protect the travelling public.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
